2023 EMGS Young Scientist Award – Congratulations to Dr. Bambarendage Pinthi (Pini) Upekka Perera

We want to thank everyone for voting in this year's EMGS Young Scientist Award Contest. Help us congratulate our 2023 YSA Winner, Dr. Bambarendage Pinthi (Pini) Upekka Perera.

Pini Perera, PhD is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She uses mouse exposure models and molecular biology techniques to understand how early life exposures to environmental contaminants such as lead impact the epigenome and specifically piRNAs.

As part of the award, Pini Perera will be presenting their Awards Lecture at the upcoming 2023 EMGS Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL on Wednesday, September 13th. This is a wonderful opportunity for the EMGS community to hear firsthand about their findings and engage in insightful discussions.
