* The Student and Early Career Investigator Luncheon will be held on Sunday, September 8th at 12:30 PM and is open to all registered student and early career attendees. Please indicate your participation during registration.

**The Women in EMGS Luncheon will be held on Monday, September 9th at 12:30 PM and is open to anyone who purchases a ticket. Limited Quantities Available.

***The Sunset Heart of the Cirt Walking Tour is scheduled for Monday, September 9th, with a departure time of either 5:00 PM or 5:30 PM. Limited Quantities Available.

Explore the dynamic past and vibrant present of this world-famous desert getaway while strolling the Walk of Stars. Learn how Hollywood stars, part of our local scene, made Palm Springs their playground. Hear tales of illustrious forward-thinking women who created a premier resort destination out of the barren desert. On this path, a veritable Museum of Architectural styles. See our oldest adobe building (1884), our first Modernist hotel (1923), the nation's first multi-use shopping center in a Spanish Colonial Revival design (1936), and impressive Midcentury Modern structures. The glamour of yesteryear continues today in our new upscale development called "The Block". Outdoor art abounds with paintings, art installations, and sculptures, including the stunning 26 ft. tall "Forever Marilyn", still causing a stir as a beguiling symbol of our celebrity history.

Event Attendee Policy

All Event activities (including scientific sessions, meal functions, etc.) are exclusively reserved for registered attendees. Badges provided at registration must be worn to obtain access to EMGS functions.

The EMGS welcomes members and attendees from across the US and around the world. Our diversity is essential to our success, and as your national professional society, we are committed to providing a safe and supportive forum for the communication of world-class science. Any discrimination based on race, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic is strictly prohibited. Read the EMGS Code of Ethics.

By registering for an EMGS event, participants acknowledge their understanding and agreement to abide by this attendee policy and the EMGS Code of Ethics.

 

Cancelation Policy

Cancelation Notice: Registrants must provide written notice of cancelation via email to the EMGS Office at emgshq@emgs-us.org.
Cancelation Fee: A cancellation fee will be applicable based on the timing of the cancelation.

  • Cancelation on or BEFORE August 31st, 2024 will incur a $60 cancelation fee.
  • Cancelation AFTER August 31st, 2024 will NOT be eligible for a refund.

Exceptional Circumstances: EMGS may consider exceptions to the cancelation fee in cases of documented emergencies or unforeseen circumstances. Decisions in such cases will be at the discretion of EMGS.

Substitutions: Registrants may opt for a substitute participant if unable to attend, without incurring a cancelation fee. However, EMGS must be notified in writing of such substitutions by September 1st, 2024.

By registering for an EMGS event, participants acknowledge their understanding and acceptance of this cancelation policy.
