Committee Membership

The committee is typically composed of 8-10 EMGS members from diverse career stages and backgrounds, including from academia, government, and industry. Members include volunteers and individuals nominated by other EMGS members.

Members serve a 3-year term and can renew their membership for additional terms. An up-to-date list of committee members with telephone and email addresses is posted on the EMGS website. One member will be selected to serve as chair of the committee for a 3-year term based on nomination and vote of the committee membership.

Co-chairs can also be selected by the committee. Members are expected to declare any conflicts of interest regarding award programs to the chair, who will then work with other committee members to decide on an appropriate course of action.
